Route Overview
The Shanghai-Shaanxi Expressway (G40) is an important east-west national expressway, starting from Shanghai and ending in Xi'an, Shaanxi, passing through the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Northwest region. It is a strategic transportation channel connecting East China, Central China, and Northwest China. The entire line adopts four/six/eight-lane expressway standards with a design speed of 80-120 km/h, bridge and culvert design load of Highway-I grade, high road network density, and busy freight traffic, significantly supporting regional logistics and economic development.
